"Primetime Princess", Kim Chiu is back!!!

After the successful "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo" last year, Kim Chiu is ready to rule over Primetime starting   August 22, with her  much awaited "My Binondo Girl".

Primetime Princess, Kim Chiu will give life to Jade, a girl who, despite growing up with a loving mother, Zheny (Ai-Ai Delas Alas) and a loving grandmother, Amor (Gina Pareno), still yearns for the love and approval of her Chinese father, Chen Sy (Richard Yap).

She will stop at nothing to win for her to win her father's heart, even if it means changing her identity as Jade to pretend to be a man under the guise of "Yuan". And according to Kim Chiu this is her most challenging role. Wearing the guy's suit and mustache are part of her role that you'll have to watch for. For me, he looks like Gerald Anderson (Uy!!).

Jolo Revilla, Xian Lim, and Matteo Gudecelli are the promosing actors  who will make a primetime comeback with Kim Chiu on “My Binondo Girl. They will give life to the following characters, Onyx (Jolo), Jade's childhood friend and best friend. Andy Wu (Xian), Yuan's rival in managing ChenJean, and Trevor Wu (Matteo), the second son of Edison Wu (Ricardo Cepeda) who is always being compared to his brother, Andy.

The proud production staffs of "My Binondo Girl".

"My Binondo Girl" will also feature some of the most renowned artist of this country such as Cherry Pie Picache, Laureen Uy and Glydel Mercado. Under the direction of Malou Sevilla.
Kapamilya get ready to meet your primetime's newest drama-comedy series, airing this August 22, 2011.

"Ang Babae sa Septic Tank" on big screen Nationwide!!

Mark your calendar on August 3, 2011 as the 7th Cinemalaya entry "Ang Babae sa Septic Tank" will be seen by more people as it opens in over 40 theaters nationwide. This August, Star Cinema is hell bent on offering movies that overflow with realism and laughter at the same time.

Brings you the movie that won five major awards (five Balanghay trophies) at 7th Cinemalaya International Film festival last July 24, 2011 at the CCP. Produced by Quantum Films, Martinez-Rivera Films and Straight Shooters Media "Ang Babae sa Septic Tank" stars Eugene Domingo who won the "Best Actress" at the 7th Cinemalaya International Film Festival!

It also brought home "Best Director" for Marlon Rivera, "Best Screenplay" for Chris Martinez (who directed the blockbuster Here Comes the Bride and scriptwriter for Kimmy Dora), "Audience Choice Award" and the much-coveted "Best Film Award".

Ang Babae sa Septic Tank also stars Cai Cortez (My Amnesia Girl, Maximus and Minimus).  JM de Guzman (Mula sa Puso, My Amnesia Girl) and Kean Cipriano (Callalily's lead vocalist).

Ang Babae sa Septic Tank is a comedy that races where ambitions sometimes lead to. It chronicles a day in the life of a trio of misguided film-makers when they decided to produce a movie they assure has a caliber to earn...an Oscar. (Yes! An Oscar!) In short "Ang Babae sa Septic tank becomes a laugh trip art of romanticizing a certain reality in pinoy culture-here its poverty-that may be minimized but could never be eliminated.

Ang Babae sa Septic Tank is one of the many blockbusters of Eugene Domingo where her talent is always on display but with different dimensions and shades- and thus reflect her versatility at characterizations. May she be playing leads or support roles. Ang Babae sa Septic Tank is another testimony to Uge's on-screen comedic power.

Touted as the biggest blockbuster in Cinemalaya history of sold-out screenings, Ang Babae sa Septic Tank will be shown nationwide!! Support the Philippine movies!!
