"No Other Woman" On Fire on Sept. 28, 2011!!!

Another compelling love-drama that answers these "How's" in the new movie proudly offered by  Star Cinema and Viva Films. Love, passion, deceit, obsession. "No Other Woman" will surely fire-up the big screen as it hits over 100 theaters nationwide on Sept. 28, 2011!

From the direction of Ruel S. Bayani, the story delves into the realms of love, passion, deceit and obsession "No Other Woman"  boasts of casting the country's most desirable leads, Anne Curtis, Derek Ramsay and Cristine Reyes in what could be the most demanding, provocative and emotionally-charged roles of their careers! 

According to director Ruel, the movie shows passion and its two sides, the beautiful and the ugly. How passion can make people happy and at the same time burn them.

In this movie, Derek Ramsay plays Ram Escaler, a furniture salesman torn between his wife, Charmaine dela Costa (Cristine Reyes), and his mistress, Kara Zalderiaga (Anne Curtis).

Ram Escaler (Derek) is a charming and hardworking furniture salesman, married to Charmaine dela Costa (Cristine) for three years. As young couple, they are full of zest with a bright future. They live in a house given to them as wedding gift by Charmaine's father who therefore puts the couple under his influence.

When Ram learns that Mr. Zalderiaga, head of Zalderiaga Group of Companies, is looking for a furniture supplier for his new resort, he grabs the opportunity. With the deal, Ram expand his business and save enough money to buy his own house and live out of his father-in-law's shadow.

Mr. Zalderiaga hires Ram who soon catches the eye of Zalderiaga's daughter Kara (Anne), a young and beautiful but careless socialite instantly attracted to Ram. The fact that the Zalderiaga  patriarch warm to Ram also impresses Kara.

When Ram and Kara are introduced to each other, there's a palpable sexual tension between them. The whole night, Kara flirts with Ram who continues to resists her. She proposes a relationship "with no string attached," assuring Ram that she doesn't want to  be mistress but is only out to have some fun, who will Ram join her?

Ram soon finds himself falling in love with Kara.

As Charmaine "the perfect wife" struggles to save her marriage, she becomes appalling and a monstrous version of herself. As the once carefree mistress, Kara becomes clingy to Ram and the person who can  destroy her family's reputation

 and the family of the man she loves.

In the process, the three people eventually learn what a passionate affair can lead them to and what lessons they can learn from it, and how the whole sordid affair can change their lives forever.

"Primetime Princess", Kim Chiu is back!!!

After the successful "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo" last year, Kim Chiu is ready to rule over Primetime starting   August 22, with her  much awaited "My Binondo Girl". 

Primetime Princess, Kim Chiu will give life to Jade, a girl who, despite growing up with a loving mother, Zheny (Ai-Ai Delas Alas) and a loving grandmother, Amor (Gina Pareno), still yearns for the love and approval of her Chinese father, Chen Sy (Richard Yap).

She will stop at nothing to win for her to win her father's heart, even if it means changing her identity as Jade to pretend to be a man under the guise of "Yuan". And according to Kim Chiu this is her most challenging role. Wearing the guy's suit and mustache are part of her role that you'll have to watch for. For me, he looks like Gerald Anderson (Uy!!). 

Jolo Revilla, Xian Lim, and Matteo Gudecelli are the promosing actors  who will make a primetime comeback with Kim Chiu on “My Binondo Girl. They will give life to the following characters, Onyx (Jolo), Jade's childhood friend and best friend. Andy Wu (Xian), Yuan's rival in managing ChenJean, and Trevor Wu (Matteo), the second son of Edison Wu (Ricardo Cepeda) who is always being compared to his brother, Andy.

Coach Erik Spoelstra leads August 7 NBA FIT Air 21 Run!!

NBA Fever runs through Metro Manila as NBA FIT – the league’s comprehensive health and wellness program that encourages physical activity and healthy living for children and families – races to the climax of its two-week program in 2011.

The NBA FIT Air 21Run, organized by Run Rio, takes place Sunday, August 7, 4 a.m. at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra will flag off the race and then take part in the run. Runners can choose to participate in four race categories : 3k, 5k, 10k and 21k.

Starting point will be at 7^th Avenue while end point will be at 9^th Avenue.

The Long Wait is Over for Maria La Del Barrio!!

This rainy season get ready for something that will heats you up. ABS-CBN and Televisa proudly present a captivating tale of love that is sure to engage the hearts of every KAPAMILYA viewer this season! "Maria  La Del Barrio" will feature two of the hottest stars in the industry today, Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee, as they give life to the characters of Maria Hernandez (Thalia) and Luis Dela Vega (Fernando Colunga).

Under the direction of Rory B. Quintos and Richard Somes,  "Maria la Del Barrio" delve into the lives of Maria and Luis as they search for true, even amidst their pasts and their conflicting their present lives.

Sharing the limelight is Angel Aquino, who was part of the hit soap opera "MAGKARIBAL". She will portray the role of Victoria Montenegro-Dela Vega, mother of Luis Fernando. Ian Veneracion plays as her husband who has a past with Assunta de Rossi who plays Maria's mother.

A very special role for the Comedy Queen Aiai delas Alas, as she plays the adoptive mother of Maria.

"Maria la del Barrio" also serves as the reunion for the Star Circle Quest Batch II members; Erich Gonzales as "Maria".  Paw Diaz, will portray Soraya's character, the woman who will stand between Maria and Luis' romance. Arron Villaflor, on the other hand, plays the role of Vladimir who has soft spot in Maria's heart.

Other cast members that will shine in this show include Jake Roxas, Katya Santos, Gio Alvarez, Atoy Co, Jane Oineza, Badjie Mortiz and K Brosas.

Shot in scenic Tagaytay and Cavite, and with a script led by Denise O' Hara and Henry Quitain's team, "Maria la Del Barrio" promises a whole new viewing experience. Great team for a great show that for sure every KAPAMILYA  will be proud of.
