NBA FIT PHILIPPINES 2011 KICKS OFF SCHOOL CLINICS AT DON BOSCO-MANDALUYONG


NBA Fit – the NBA’s global comprehensive health and wellness program – held its first school clinic yesterday at Don Bosco Technical College in Mandaluyong where Don Bosco varsity players known as the Grey Wolves and Don Bosco PE classes participated in the 2-hour long clinic that will also go around other Metro Manila schools as part of NBA Fit Philippines 2011. Fil-Am coach Erik Spoelstra will lead the NBA Fit activities again this year as NBA Fit’s Ambassador to the Philippines. As the main goal of NBA FIT is to encourage physical activity and healthy living for children and families through programs and events. The 2-hour long NBA Fit clinic will go around other Metro Manila schools as part of NBA Fit Philippines 2011 and will culminate in a NBA Fit Challenge finals at the SM Mall of Asia on August 6. Fil-Am coach Erik Spoelstra will lead the NBA Fit activities again this year as NBA Fit’s Ambassador to the Philippines. Jonah Crescini, a college sophomore at Don Bosco Technical College in Mandaluyong, emerged as the fittest and fastest Bosconian during the NBA Fit Clinic in the male-dominated Salesian school yesterday, the first day of NBA Fit Philippines 2011. Jonah and four other high-performing male Bosconians will compete with the Best 5 performers of other schools that NBA Fit will visit to spread the NBA’s gospel of health and wellness from July 25 to August 7. Fil-Am coach Erik Spoelstra will lead the NBA Fit activities again this year as NBA Fit’s Ambassador to the Philippines.
