Celebrating a Legacy Built on Science and Love JOHNSON’S® celebrates its 125th year through year-long Special activities and promotions

JOHNSON’S® has been pioneering and setting global standards in baby skin care for families globally since many can remember. This year marks a special milestone as JOHNSON’S® celebrates 125 years with a series of activities to celebrate its legacy in creating a safer world for babies and their families in the Philippines.

“JOHNSON’S® 125-year legacy is our dedication to giving our best for mothers and babies,” shares Ms. Bessie Colet Campillo, Johnson’s Marketing Manager. “Just as mothers learn from babies, so does Johnson’s. We understand what great lengths mothers go through to give their best for their babies, and that is the same effort we emulate in all the products we develop.  Our products have always been some of the most rigorously tested and safe, globally, and created specifically to care for a baby’s unique needs,” she adds.

“A baby’s needs are very much different than our own. Each sense, from sight to touch, and through all the moments of play and exploration that our babies go through as they develop, are opportunities to nurture their happy and healthy development. All these moments are also opportunities for us to empower parents to maximize bonding with their babies to nurture the best development possible,” she concludes.

In celebration of all the lives JOHNSON’S® has had the privilege to touch, and in honor of all the mothers in the Philippines, the brand has lined up various activities and programs starting January 25, 2018. This will be kicked off with the 125 Years Anthem Video to be launched on Facebook and YouTube on January 25 showcasing Johnson’s dedication throughout the years, followed by a series of online initiatives, special promotions in-store and in e-commerce, as well as on-ground efforts and events to celebrate with every Filipino mom who has grown up with the brand.

Truly at the heart of the JOHNSON’S® Brand is the commitment to helping create a world made better for moms and babies. All the activities of the brand for 2018 aim to continue building on the vision and legacy of leaving the world better for the benefit of the nation’s babies, and to give back to the families whose lives they have had the privilege of being a part of over the years. This also comes with great commitment to continue to always give their best care for years to come.

NESSOTECH LAUNCHES TOGETECH, INC AND MONEYGMENT APP

Nessotech - an IT firm and systems solutions provider engaged in software development with a decade of experience - has been serving companies such as banks and non-bank remittance  firms applying for their technical accreditation with the Philippine Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health Insurance System (Philhealth) and the Home Mutual Development Fund of the Philippines (Pag-ibig Fund), to enable collection of contribution and loan payments of OFWs, self-employed and voluntary members.

Mr. Jonathan Velasco, Ms. Denise Palmiano, Ms. Jessica Palmiano and Mr. Domingo Dayro Jr.

Managed by a seasoned team from the financial and IT sectors, and headed by its President and CEO Ma. Jessica Palmiano, Nessotech has diversified with the recent establishment of Togetech whose mandate is the creation of mobile applications that directly serve the customers,  which includes retail and peer-to-peer client.

Togetech envisions itself to be a provider of applications geared towards connectivity, financial inclusion, and convenience of customers. Togetech initially launched the Moneygment -app, which is a payments solutions mobile app providing remittance for government contributions and loans, as well as computation, filing and tax payments.

The founders of Moneygment understand the importance of these contributions, especially to the OFWs and their families that they have been serving for the past few years. Thisinspired them to work continuously in improving their systems in order to provide the most up-to-date services and reports to their customers. They are aware of the difficulties regarding delays in processing and unposted transactions causing benefits to be delayed as well. That is why they developed the Moneygment app that the customers can easily access through their mobile devices, and hence, they can immediately generate reports and get updates about their transactions.

Moneygment caters as well to the growing number of self-employed individuals, freelancers, homemakers paying for the mandatory contributions of their kasambahays or household help, and micro and small enterprises to make paying and filing taxes and government contributions easy and convenient.

“Moneygment does not only focus on providing convenience for spending, but spending on things that will help ‘future-proof’ our customers,” says Ma. Jessica Palmiano, President and CEO of Togetech. “Future-proofing means being responsible citizens through filing and paying taxes, ensuring savings and insurance coverage through utilizing government initiatives provided by SSS, Philhealth and Pag-ibig. We are all focused on the now, yet we may lose sight of what we need to prepare for the future so we give you Moneygment to help you secure that future. The future does not only refer to when you are 60 years old and above. This is as simple as ensuring you have medical funds when you get sick, claiming for calamity loans when calamities happen, applying to own your home or looking for a funding source for your desired trip to another country. Future-proofing is also helping you achieve financial confidence by being able to provide financial tax returns even if you are operating a micro-enterprise enabling you to secure financial assistance in growing your business.”

The Moneygment  app is available for download on Android via the Play Store and soon on IOS.  Through this mobile application, customers can enjoy the convenience of paying for their government contributions anytime from wherever they are.  The customers can transfer payments through Moneygment accredited partners without the need for owning a bank account.

Togetech will continuously integrate with partner institutions such as insurance companies, micro-finance and government institutions, in order to provide customers with the convenience in paying for these types of contributions, and achieve real-time posting of payments. Reports are also made available in every step of the process.

Further, it will strive to provide for financial inclusion through its rewards system and information campaigns, making it easy for customers to know current updates by our partner agencies.

Togetech will also be launching other applications catering to this segment so as to achieve its goals in providing a facility for easy payment solutions for basic life requirements and to help “future-proof” the consumers that will further improve the standard of living of every Filipino, driving the society forward.

With its stonewall security, Vivo smartphones are not only efficient and affordable but are also revolutionary and innovative

A lot of modern smartphones are adopting biometric security features in an effort to gather more users and patrons to support their brand. Vivo is no different and has pushed the envelope when it comes to innovation. Just recently at the Consumer Electronics Show or CES 2018, dubbed as the global stage for innovation, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, Vivo took the spotlight as it introduced the world-first under-display fingerprint scanner in its smartphone. This ultra-modern technology simply registers a user’s uniquely patterned epidermis, and just like in futuristic movies, the screen would weave a pattern of blue light and the phone is instantly accessed.

Vivo’s new innovation, the world’s first under – display fingerprint scanner

Vivo’s smartphone security features are just as impressive and cutting-edge. The Face ID feature of Vivo is less complex than other smartphone brands’ security specs, merely using its 24MP camera for facial recognition. But this facial recognition security feature is not to be underestimated as it works remarkably well. Vivo face access technology quickly detects up more than 100 different facial identification points, more than enough for one to say that we truly now live in the future. The feature checks the depth or the user’s facial features which provides for a more precise, more effectual security access.

Vivo’s Face ID Access

Lastly, Vivo smartphones also employ the good old fingerprint scanner under its hood, located at the back just within a convenient reach of the index finger. This feature which works well and fast and maybe activated alongside the Face ID feature.

With its stonewall security, Vivo smartphones are not only efficient and affordable but are also revolutionary and innovative. Vivo cares about its users, pushing the brand to constantly innovate and improve user experience. Vivo maintains seven research and development centers and continuously improves their products.

Your guide to snacking the healthy way with FamilyMart

We can’t help those sudden cravings for a sweet, salty, or cool treat—but maybe we don’t have to. While eating frequently throughout the day used to be frowned upon, studies now show that having small snacks in between meals can actually be good for you.  Your go-to for delicious favorites, FamilyMart, is here to satisfy your taste buds with new options for your morning, mid-day, or nighttime munchies.

Mid-morning snack. Everyone knows that a hearty breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But despite a full meal to kickstart your morning, you might find yourself feeling a little distracted by hunger pangs with some time to go before lunch.

To stave off your hunger ‘til noon, munch on FamilyMart’s All-Cheese and Pimiento Cheesesticks for only P39, a filling but still light enough bite to keep you from overeating when you finally take your lunch.

Afternoon bites. Whether you decided to take an early lunch or put off eating until later, you might find yourself getting hungry not long after noon. Drop by FamilyMart for a healthy serving of Chicken Macaroni Salad at P39 or Potato Salad at P39 and fill up without worrying about going over your calorie count. If you’re also prone to having dinner late, be sure you have something to eat mid-afternoon.

Dessert. Contrary to popular belief, eliminating desserts won’t necessarily make or break the diet you’re trying to maintain. As long as you keep your portions in check and skip a different component of your meal like soda or wine, you can have a cool Hershey’s Dark Chocolate Superfreeze for as low as P27, an Ube Cream, Ube, or Vanilla Twirl at P25, or Leche Flan at P39 to end the day on a sweet note.

Your snacking gets even more rewarding at FamilyMart because on Triple Tuesdays, you get thrice the Snap points for your purchases. So what are you waiting for? Drop by a FamilyMart near you today for your favorite snacks and exciting new treats!

The modern Juan paves the way for gender equality at home with Ariel’s #JuanWash

Perhaps no era has prompted a more dramatic shift in gender norms than this one; and these changes are most evident in one of the most basic facets of daily life — chores.

Where household tasks were once viewed as “women’s work” decades prior, nowadays, a more equal division of tasks for cooking, cleaning, laundry duties, and the like in the new millennium is far from unusual.

According to the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB), Filipino men are getting more and more involved in household work. In fact, statistics show that a significant increase was seen in the beginning of 2000s, with employed men allotting an average of 5 hours working on chores. This is a big jump, compared to the average of 1.87 hours from the numbers gathered on employed men from 1979.

With these findings, it’s exciting to see how this would continue to take off to new heights. A contemporary and fresh perspective on equality always starts from the core of the community, the family, and this is precisely why Ariel wants to keep the conversation going for every Juan.

As an homage to the men who show their support with the simple yet powerful act of contributing to housework, Ariel’s #JuanWash campaign seeks to inspire men to embrace one of the crucial roles in making a house a home by simply chipping in on the laundry. On September 1, 2017, Ariel will be launching the campaign online as a thank you to the Juan Washers, or the men who confidently help with the laundry thanks to Ariel Power Gel that makes washing clothes easily done in no time at all.

“For a long time, it has been common for women to have a bigger share in terms of household chores. With the rise of double-income homes and a more open-minded cultural landscape, men are now much more accepting of the idea of contributing to the housework,” explains Luisito Morante, Regional Brand Communications for Procter & Gamble, ASEAN Fabric & Home Care.

Many homes have their laundry washed twice a week. If the men of the household were to set aside one day for laundry, this can mean a world of difference for the family as a whole. As a convenient reminder of how each week gives men an opportune moment to show their support, Ariel is looking to dedicate Fridays as #JuanWash days. With this slight addition to their weekly routine, the men of the household can be a New Man as an expert in laundry, all thanks to Ariel Power Gel that makes superior clean effortless. Especially formulated for better stain removal, anyone can now reach the new standard of laundry with Ariel #JuanWash.

By celebrating the men who take a stand for equality through #JuanWash, Ariel continues to break barriers after coming from the successful launch of #AhonPinay – a project in partnership with TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) that sought to provide women with more work opportunities by training them in commonly male-dominated jobs. Through #JuanWash, Ariel further emphasizes the advocacy of empowering Filipinos by showcasing the modern Juan’s role in laundry chores as a critical step towards welcoming the change to lead. Because someone who is man enough to do laundry, is someone who cares enough to let the women in their lives have the same opportunity to progress even more.

In partnership with Eat Bulaga, Ariel will be scouring through many different barangays in Metro Manila to find Juan Washers every Friday, starting on September 1. Not only is this meant to put the spotlight on individual Juan Washers, but it’s a way to show everyone how valuable their role is in further pushing equality in the family and in the community.

A lot is in store for Ariel’s #JuanWash initiative, and we hope you can also take part in spreading the word for this nationwide movement! Go ahead and be a part of the change by contributing to your share of the household chores with #JuanWash – one wash at a time.
