Launched last April 13, the Take Out and Delivery at SM Viber initiative is a food guide that allows customers to explore the available options for delivery in time for special celebrations like Mother’s Day, or just for the satisfaction of regular food cravings. With the curation of the food guide, customers could now also easily identify the variety of food options available for delivery in their area. As of writing, the group has 80,000 members. The Take Out and Delivery at SM curators include in their message the following information: restaurant name, location, available time of service and food type.
Curators also include in their message the restaurants’ contact details since customers are required to transact directly with the establishments. Some of the restaurants in the group are also partners of some food delivery apps, such Grab Food, Lala Food and Food Panda.
SM Supermalls reminds those who will be engaging in home deliveries to continue exercising social distancing and to wear a face mask. The customers are also encouraged to wash their hands after every transaction.

Beginning today until September 30, 2019, Mastercard, in partnership with The SM Store, will run a promotion to encourage shoppers to make payments using their contactless-enabled Mastercard credit cards. The contactless cards can be identified through a symbol on the card face that is similar to the Wi-Fi symbol, albeit turned sideways. Shoppers using the contactless Mastercard credit cards stand a chance to win PhP 1,000-worth of gift cards when they make a one-time purchase worth PhP 3,000.00 or an installment purchase with a total value of PhP 5,000.00.
Though still in its infancy in the Philippines, contactless payments are already widely used in other countries such as Singapore, Australia, and England. Payments via contactless cards are fulfilled by simply tapping the card on a point-of-sale (POS) terminal. For low value transactions, no PIN or signature is required; cardholders can simply Tap & GoTM. Adobo Sushi
For Japanese rice
Rinse the Japanese rice and drain. Repeat until water runs clear.
Cook in the rice cooker.
For Sushi Rice
While Japanese rice is warm from the rice cooker, mix the cooked rice, sugar and rice wine vinegar until rice cools.
For Sushi rolls
Lay a nori wrapper on top of your bamboo mat. Get some rice and start patting it down gently on the nori wrapper, covering more than half of the wrapper, leaving a bit of space on the top part (away from you).
Spoonsome of the adobo creating a horizontal line an inch from the bottom of the rice layer.
Take your bamboo mat from the bottom and roll like a cigar, making sure that the adobo is tucked in nice and neatly. Try to roll as tight as you can. Dampen the top sheet of your nori wrapper to seal your roll. Repeat
Slice 1-inch thick pieces and top with garlic bits. serve with adobo sauce for dipping.
Ube, Mango and Cheese Crepes
Crepes
In a blender, combine flour, sugar, salt, milk, eggs and butter
Puree until mixture is smooth and bubbles form on top, about 30 seconds. Let batter sit at least 15 minutes at room temperature (or refrigerate in an airtight container, up to 1 day; whisk before using).
Heat a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium. Lightly coat with butter. Add 1/3 cup batter and swirl to completely cover bottom of skillet. Cook until underside of crepe is golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes.
Loosen edge of crepe with a rubber spatula, then with your fingertips, quickly flip. Cook 1 minute more. Slide crepe out of skillet and repeat with remaining batter. (Coat pan with butter as needed)
For Ube-Mango filling
Whip the cold cream cheese until loosened. Add the powdered sugar and ube extract, whipping until incorporated and smooth.
Add the heavy cream and ube jam until light and fluffy.
Carefully fold in small cubes of cheese and diced dried mangoes. Set aside and chill.
Place Ube-mango filling in crepes, fold,top with fresh mangoes, dust with powdered sugar and serve.
